“Quando una passione diventa una professione” è il titolo di una delle mie prime pubblicazioni.

Il grande amore per la fotografia mi ha permesso di cambiare radicalmente il mio lavoro: da imprenditore di una società di informatica e telefonia, a fotografo professionista collaborando per diversi anni con Nital (distributore ufficiale dei prodotti Nikon per l’Italia) sia come fotografo di Eventi sia come Docente della Nikon School per le Tecnologie Wireless.

L’impegno profuso in questa attività è stato ampiamente ripagato dalle innumerevoli soddisfazioni e attestazioni di stima che ho ricevuto durante questa bellissima ed indimenticabile avventura al fianco di un marchio cosi prestigioso che, in alcuni casi, ho rappresentato nello svolgimento di eventi Nazionali ed Internazionali.

Un doveroso ringraziamento va a Giuseppe Maio, Fabrizio Gillone, Stefano Barbero, Leo Agrimi e a tutto lo Staff di Nital.

Un particolare ringraziamento va al Sig. Aldo Winkler, CEO di Nital S.P.A.

Ho voluto realizzare uno slideshow di pochi fotogrammi che rappresentano alcuni momenti importanti della mia carriera:

• La Mostra Evento “Gocce di Rugiada” (2008) allestita all’interno della Sala delle Pietre che si trovava al primo piano del Palazzo del Popolo (uno degli edifici medievali più antichi della Città di Todi-Pg).

• Gli Internazionali di Tennis dell’Umbria (2008) che si sono svolti presso il “Tennis Club Todi 1971” (La Foto del Tennista Brasiliano Flavio Sareta, che aveva un tatuaggio sul fianco con il volto di Bob Marley, tramite il sito web del Circuito ATP fece il giro del Mondo pochi minuti dopo lo scatto).

• Photoshow 2009 – “Nital Digital Campus” (Fiera di Milano).

• La Conferenza Evento “L’Evoluzione nel Tempo: La Fotografia tra Cultura e Tecnologia.” (2010) che si è tenuta presso l’Aula Magna dell’Università La Sapienza di Roma.

Tutto questo rappresenta per me un vero e proprio “Amarcord”.

Oggi a distanza di qualche anno sento ancor più la mancanza di quel mondo che ho dovuto abbandonare forzatamente per motivi di salute ed ecco che sono andato a cercare nei miei archivi per poter rivivere quelle emozioni che sono state il “life motive” di tanti anni di duro lavoro e di grandi soddisfazioni personali e professionali.

“When a passion becomes a profession” is the title of one of my first publications.

The great love for photography has allowed me to radically change my job: from an entrepreneur in an IT and telephony company, to a professional photographer collaborating for several years with Nital (official distributor of Nikon products for Italy) and as a photographer of Events and as Nikon School Lecturer for Wireless Technologies.

The commitment made in this activity has been amply rewarded by the countless satisfactions and attestations of esteem that I received during this beautiful and unforgettable adventure alongside such a prestigious brand that, in some cases, I have represented in the conduct of National and International events.

A dutiful thanks goes to Giuseppe Maio, Fabrizio Gillone, Stefano Barbero, Leo Agrimi and to all the Nital staff.

A special thanks goes to Mr. Aldo Winkler, CEO of Nital S.P.A.

I wanted to make a slideshow of a few frames that represent some important moments in my career:

• The “Gocce di Rugiada” Show Event (2008) set up inside the Sala delle Pietre which was located on the first floor of the Palazzo del Popolo (one of the oldest medieval buildings in the city of Todi-Pg).

• The Umbrian Tennis Internationals (2008) which took place at the “Tennis Club Todi 1971”.
  (The photo of the Brazilian tennis player Flavio Sareta, who had a tattoo with the face of Bob Marley on his side, went around the world via the website of the ATP circuit a few minutes after the shot).
  

• Photoshow 2009 – “Nital Digital Campus” (Milan Fair).
  

• The Conference Event “The Evolution in Time: Photography between Culture and Technology.” (2010) which was held at the Aula Magna of the La Sapienza University of Rome.

All this represents for me a real “Amarcord.

Today, after a few years, I feel even more the lack of that world that I had to forcibly abandon for health reasons and here I went to look in my archives to be able to relive those emotions that have been the “life motive” of so many years of hard work and great personal and professional satisfaction.

Fotografare il food è stata da sempre una delle mie passioni.

Per me è un modo per gratificare lo Chef e, al tempo stesso, esaltare le portate (vere e proprie opere d’arte) che appagano sia la vista che lo stomaco.

Questo è il mio primo articolo sperimentale dove una slideshow sostituisce la tradizionale webgallery.

Questa mattina, dopo aver smaltito il leggero malessere causato dalla Terza dose del Vaccino Anti COVID-19, ho deciso di fare un salto ai “Pratoni del Vivaro” una località che si trova a circa 10 Km. da San Cesareo (Rm) molto familiare agli abitanti dei “Castelli Romani”, meta di tante gite spensierate di noi giovani ragazzi che, non avendo a disposizione le varie tecnologie attuali (Internet, Smartphone e quant’altro), preferivano passare qualche ora di spensieratezza all’aria aperta facendo finta, a volte, di studiare per l’interrogazione del giorno dopo.

Questa località si trova tra i Comuni di Rocca Priora e Rocca di Papa.

Nell’area di pertinenza del Comune di Rocca di Papa sorge il Centro Ippico Federale F.I.S.E. (uno dei migliori che abbiamo in Italia).

Anche Ledy Diana ebbe modo di visitarlo in occasione del suo viaggio in Italia nell’Aprile/Maggio 1985.

Questo immenso altipiano è circondato da boschi immensi con una varietà di piantagioni tipiche del posto che durante il periodo autunnale si colorano di mille colori rendendo piacevole la vista del paesaggio, soprattutto per chi come me è un fotografo natualista.

Vivere in questi Habitat è da sempre stato il mio sogno e non a caso mi divido tra Lazio ed Umbria dove la natura prevale sugli insediamenti urbani.

La situazione climatica in questo periodo è estremamente variabile e quindi gli scatti che ho realizzato risento di questi bruschi cambiamenti di luce e questo, per certi versi, è anche gradevole perchè ci permette di osservare la natura in diverse condizioni di luce.

Ho racchiuso in una Gallery alcuni scatti di questa mattina, spero siano di vostro gradimento.

This morning, after having disposed of the slight discomfort caused by the Third dose of the Anti COVID-19 vaccine, I decided to take a trip to the “Pratoni del Vivaro” a very familiar location about 10 Km. From San Cesareo (Rm) to the inhabitants of the “Castelli Romani”, destination of many carefree trips of us young guys who, not having the various current technologies available (Internet, Smartphone and so on), preferred to spend a few hours of carefree outdoors pretending, sometimes, to study for the next day’s question.

This locality is located between the municipalities of Rocca Priora and Rocca di Papa.

In the area belonging to the Municipality of Rocca di Papa stands the Federal Equestrian Center F.I.S.E. (one of the best we have in Italy).

Ledy Diana also had the opportunity to visit it on the occasion of her trip to Italy in April / May 1985.

This immense plateau is surrounded by immense woods with a variety of typical plantations of the place which during the autumn period are colored with a thousand colors making the view of the landscape pleasant, especially for those like me who are a natualist photographer.

Living in these habitats has always been my dream and it is no coincidence that I divide myself between Lazio and Umbria where nature prevails over urban settlements.

The climatic situation in this period is extremely variable and therefore the shots I made are affected by these sudden changes in light and this, in some ways, is also pleasant because it allows us to observe nature in different light conditions.

I have enclosed some shots from this morning in a Gallery, I hope they are to your liking.
